Hello! My name is Shelby and I have been in the fitness industry for 10 years now. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from UNK, I have my Personal Trainer Certificate through ACSM, and I am a Pre and Post Natal Corrective Exercise Specialist. I have worked with various people over the years, from ages 14 to 80’s, whether it be improving sport specific performance or improving your quality of life. I love working with those who are pregnant or postpartum (no matter how many years) and empowering them to keep their strength during and after pregnancy and making your recovery smoother. Whether you are just starting out or have been exercising for years, I can help you reach your fullest potential in creating an overall healthy lifestyle that works for YOU and helps you become the best version of yourself.

Hey friends! My fitness journey began 20+ years ago when I very reluctantly purchased a package of sessions with a personal trainer at a local gym. Assuming the trainer-trainee relationship would be short-lived, I had no plans to further my training beyond that. It wasn’t long before I realized how life-changing and transformative strength training would become for me! I began “listening” to my body, felt the mental health benefits and saw positive physical changes! It wasn’t long before I chose to pursue personal training as a career of my own!
Since then, life has kept me busy raising 4 children and coaching baseball. With the combined experience of being a personal trainer and a sports coach, I have had the privilege of teaching every age from the eager and spry youth to the young-at-heart seniors and every age in between!
Outside of my family, one of my greatest joys are seeing my clients accomplish things never thought possible, watching physical transformations unfold and giving unconditional, genuine support, all in the name of health and wellness. A life positively changed is a life worth celebrating!

I started with fitness and nutrition in 2019. I am a certified kickboxing and yoga instructor and offer Yoga Therapy for PTSD using a form of yogic relaxation with guided meditation and visualization.
I am also a certified Transformation Specialist. That means I do not just tell people what exercise to do. I want to know the reason why they're on this journey and how we can focus on a true lifestyle change. I want to show people that healthy does not mean boring and whether you're just starting, or restarting, on the road to fitness, the first hurdle is your mindset. Since I don't look like a typical personal trainer, I feel like I would be a less scary option for beginners. Somebody they can feel comfortable with, and I can show them that they're not on this journey alone.

I have over 20 years of experience in the health and wellness industry. I have my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Psychology and Master of Science degree in Health Service Administration from Creighton University. I care about my clients and enjoy helping guide them on their health journey. For me, a healthy lifestyle is more than just running and lifting weights. I believe it’s about stretching, eating healthy, and getting the necessary sleep. I enjoy helping others see and experience what their bodies can do. I work with individuals where they are in their health journey weather they are young and healthy, newly diagnosed with a chronic condition like diabetes or heart disease; it takes motivation, determination, and consistency to succeed. Although it may not be easy, and a few hurdles may occur, individuals will eventually look at their bodies in a new light and feel better, happier, and more confident.
