David Bell, our CEO, received the 1990 nomination for State Senate in Georgia's 55th District after serving as a Congressional Staffer during the 1980s. He worked for U.S. Senator Paula Hawkins as a staff assistant with a primary focus on the appointment process to the US Military Academies including West Point and Annapolis. From there, he also worked as a small business advocate and was often a speaker at civic organizations throughout Georgia. In the late 80's, he founded an insurance agency which was responsible for acquiring multiple similar agencies in the Atlanta area.
David moved to Charlotte North Carolina to serve as President of Strategic Outsourcing which he co-founded in 1995. Bell used his experience with small business owners and his insurance experience to build specialized products and services for clients interested in outsourced human resources, workers compensation and improved employee benefits. After 8 years of growing SOI revenues at a rate of 40% and reaching 1 Billion in revenue, the company was sold for approximately $55 million and Bell remained President for 2 years before founding InSource Business Strategies which was sold in 2008.
