Gynaecology

Cervical Screening - £200

Includes procedure and laboratory fees.
Patients must be 18 years old or over.

Gynaecology - New Patient Appointment - £225

Patients are always seen by Dr Penman.
Appointment times are adhered to so no waiting.
If you have not seen Dr Penman in more than 9 months or it is a new problem please book a new patient appointment. Please call Helen if not sure.

Gynaecology Appointment - Follow Up - £150

For patients who have seen Dr Penman within the last 9 months and is regarding the same condition. If it is regarding a new condition or outside the last 9 months, a new patient consultation will be required.

Infertility Package - £275

Mr Penman offers a first line infertility package to try to find the cause of the infertility problems. This package includes initial consultation with Mr Penman and the planning of treatment, management of results, issuance of prescriptions and changes to the initial treatment plan without the need for follow-up appointments. (Further detailed changes to treatment or medication will require a follow up consultation which is not included in this package). Any tests or HSG (HyCoSy) are billed separately.

Baby Scans

Viability/Reassurance Scan - £95

6-11 Weeks
Patient must be under 11 weeks 1 day
Viability (and reassurance) of the fetus. This scan confirms the presence of a heartbeat, the position of the fetus, confirm the number and an estimate of delivery date.

Nuchal Scan (With Gender -12 weeks+) - £140

Nuchal Scan from 11 weeks +1 day to 13 weeks +6 days
This scan looks at the nuchal translucency, and nasal bridge for any abnormalities.
(If you want gender also please do not book until you are at least 12 weeks)

Early Growth/Wellbeing Scan (with Early Gender) - £140

Wellbeing with Early Gender from 14-19 weeks + 6days.
This scan checks growth of the baby, liquor volume, movement and placental position. This scan does also note gender but this is a result of the medical scan performed and not the reason for doing this scan.

Anomaly Scan - £190

This scan is performed from 20-24 weeks.
Checks all structures, including heart chambers, brain, head circumference, length, liquor volume etc.

Late Growth/Wellbeing Scan - £170

This scan is performed from 24 weeks to 33-35 weeks.
The scan checks the growth, weight, liquor volume, blood dopplers for flow through the umbilical artery.

Non Invasive Pre-natal Test (from 10 weeks) - £450

Non Invasive Prenatal Test
This can be performed from 10 weeks and involves taking a blood sample along with a baby scan. The blood sample is sent for testing and will detect 99% of abnormalities. The price includes all laboratory fees. If you would like to know more, look at the page dedicated to NIPT. The result comes back in 2-4 working days.

Please ensure you have had a viability scan around 6-8 weeks to date your pregnancy.

From 11weeks +1day £450

TWINS Nuchal Scan (With Gender) - £190

Nuchal Scan from 11 weeks +1 to 13 weeks +6 days

Rainbow Scan - £100

This scan is for post miscarriage to check that everything has recovered back to normal before trying for another pregnancy. Please do not book this scan if you want to discuss recurrent miscarriage.
