Advanced Life Support Courses

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Course - $165
The Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) instructor led course is designed for personnel who staff ICU, ER, CCU units, and EMS personnel. The "traditional" 2 day American Heart Association instructor led Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) course is where you and other course participants engage in learning the required information needed to obtain your ACLS course completion card. The Required AHA ACLS provider manual is SOLD SEPARATELY.

The ACLS course builds on the foundation of lifesaving Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. This advanced course highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care, and immediate post-cardiac arrest care. ACLS also covers airway management and related pharmacology.

Skills are taught in large-group sessions and small-group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.

The ACLS course covers:

•ACLS algorithms
•immediate post-cardiac-arrest care
•airway management
•rhythm recognition
•high-quality CPR
•1-rescuer CPR AED
• effective resuscitation team dynamics
•science overview (update course)
•BLS and ACLS surveys

ACLS training is intended for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the resuscitation of a patient, whether in or out of the hospital, including:

•physicians

•nurses

•emergency medical technicians

•paramedics
•staff in intensive care units and emergency or critical care departments

•other professionals who may respond to a cardiovascular emergency


Students must pass a written exam and skills test in order to qualify for an ACLS Course Completion Card.

To be successful in any ACLS course, students should be able to identify ECG rhythms and should know pharmacology specific to cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiopulmonary emergencies before beginning the course. It is strongly recommended that students review the ACLS course materials and complete a precourse self-assessment using the tools in their student materials before starting the course.

Course length is approximately 10-12 hours for the initial course, and approximately 5-6.5 hours for the renewal course. Part 1 (cognitive portion) can be taken in an instructor-led training session or on a self-directed basis as an online eLearning course. Students then practice their skills (Part 2) and are tested (Part 3) with a certified American Heart Association ACLS instructor.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support Renewal Course - $155
The "traditional" American Heart Association Live in the classroom Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) 5 - 6 hrs, Renewal (AKA UPDATE) course is designed for Advanced Healthcare Providers. This Course is where you and other course participants engage in learning the required information needed to obtain your ACLS course completion card.
ACLS 1 student 1 Instructor - $300 (call for appointment)
A Private ACLS course with just you and one instructor.

ACLS in the Classroom Course & Parts 2&3 of the (BLS) Online course Combo - $195
Part 1 of the BLS ONLINE COURSE IS SOLD SEPARATELY. The Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) renewal course & Basic Life Support (BLS) Online combo course is designed for personnel who are seeking renew their American Heart Association's ACLS & BLS providers card. Students must bring with them to the class, their current or expired ACLS card of no more than 30 days. Students MUST complete the BLS online course prior to attending this course. The BLS hands on Practice & testing session (Parts 2 & 3 of the online course) will be completed after the ACLS renewal course on the same day.

Per the American Heart Association, all course participants must have a current copy of the course manual, before, during and after the course, if you have a current copy of the student manual you do not need to purchase another one, but you do need to bring your manual with you on the day of the course.

ACLS Skills Practice & Testing (Parts 2 & 3 of the AHA Online Course - $85
In Parts 2 and 3, you will demonstrate proficiency in providing ACLS skills including prioritizing chest compressions and integrating AED use. Successful completion of any of the American Heart Association's online courses requires three course parts :

•Part 1, complete the online portion, If you have not completed the online course
•Part 2, complete a hands-on skills practice session using a VAM or with an authorized Critical Actions Safety Center Instructor.
•Part 3, complete a skills test using a VAM or with an authorized Critical Actions Safety Center Instructor.

Healthcare Provider Courses

Basic Life Support (BLS) Course - $55
The American Heart Association BLS CPR course is where you and other course participants engage in learning the required information needed to obtain your BLS for the Healthcare provider course completion card. This course is designed for the healthcare professional such as Doctors, Nursing, Paramedics, EMT, Respiratory Therapist, Dentist, or anyone that does direct patient care. Students will learn Adult, Child & Infant CPR, Use of an AED, Use of a bag mask device and more. Rather you're a Doctor, Nurse, EMT, Paramedic, CNA or any other healthcare professional, this course is ideal for you.. THE REQUIRED STUDENT MANUAL IS SOLD SEPERATELY!!!! Students will be required to take a written exam and a hands on skills test and score a minimum of 84%
Basic Life Support (BLS) one on one Course - $95 (call for appointment)
One on One BLS CPR Course,
is a private BLS course where just you and one instructor is in attendance. This is a convenient way to learn BLS. You pick the date, You pick the time, no waiting for other students to register, and the best part is you get all of the instructor's attention. One on One classes are ideal for the busy student that just do not have the time to wait for a traditional class. You will receive your course completion card on the same day you pass all of the required segments.
BLS Skills Practice & Testing (Parts 2 & 3 of the AHA Online Course) - $50
The American Heart Association skills practice & testing sessions (Parts 2 & 3) of the Heartcode BLS Course are for those who completed the AHA Heartcode BLS online course. Your skills practice and testing session will include hands on 1 and 2 people CPR practice for adult, Child & infant. You will also get to practice using an AED and a Bag mask device. YOU MUST BRING A COPY OF YOUR BLS ONLINE CERTIFICATE WITH ON THE DAY OF YOUR SKILLS SESSION.

The PALS course is designed to provide pediatric healthcare providers with the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently and effectively manage critically ill infants and children and help improve outcomes. To be eligible to take this course, course participants MUST have a current course completion card or a card that has not expired for more than 60 days. NO EXCEPTIONS.

The US Coast Guard (USCG) has approved the AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course as meeting the USCG Elementary First Aid* training requirements of:

Elementary First Aid per 46 CFR 11.302(a)(3) and 46 CFR 12.602(a)(3);

Critical Actions Safety Center shall provide students with an American Heart Association course completion card and a certificate of Completion of the Heartsaver First Aid with CPR and AED AMERHA-216 certificate to any maritime personnel that require the certificate to accompany their Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course completion card upon successful completion of the course with all options completed and written exam.

The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction.

Heartsaver® Bloodborne Pathogens uses the PACT acronym and slogan to help students learn and retain what to do when there is danger of or has been exposure to bloodborne pathogens in the workplace:

Skills Practice & Testing (Parts 2 & 3 of the Pediatric first aid & CPR Online Course - $61
Upon completion of the online portion (PART 1), students MUST participate in a hands-on session featuring skills practice and testing (PARTS 2 & 3). Successful completion of both the online and hands-on portions, including skills practice and testing with a certified American Heart Association BLS or Heartsaver Instructor, qualifies students for a Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course card, which is valid for two years. The online program includes audio, video, and interactive activities. PC and Mac® compatible.
NOTE: You must purchase one online access key for each student trained. This product is not eligible for the standard return policy.

Family & Friends CPR Courses

Family & Friends CPR Training - $15 (call for appointment)
The Family and Friends CPR course is fast and affordable, this course is an ideal option for members of the general public who want to learn Adult,Child & Infant CPR in an instructor-led or facilitated group environment and do not need certification. This course is not for Healthcare Providers or for anyone that needs to obtain a CPR course completion card.

PHTLS 10th Edition Hybrid Provider Course - Hybrid Course Key + Skills - $215
In the hybrid course, students take 8 hours of the course online followed by 8 hours in the classroom. Once you complete the online portion, you will need to print the certificate and post-test grade and bring both with you to class.
AMLS 4th Edition Hybrid Provider Course - Hybrid Course Key + Skills - $215
In the hybrid course, students take 8 hours of the course online followed by 8 hours in the classroom. Once you complete the online portion, you will need to print the certificate and post-test grade and bring both with you to class.
PHTLS 10th Edition Course - $250
This is a 16-hour course for EMTs, paramedics, nurses, physician assistants, physicians and other prehospital providers. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a certificate of completion, a wallet card recognizing them as PHTLS providers for 4 years, and 16 hours of CAPCE credit.
AMLS 4th Edition Course - $250
This is a 16-hour course for EMTs, paramedics, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and physicians. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a certificate of completion, a wallet card recognizing them as AMLS providers for 4 years, and 16 hours of CAPCE credit.
